Domestic bourses opened higher on Friday supported by the IT and pharma stocks. Meanwhile, the HDFC twins slipped 2 per cent each and were among the top Sensex losers. On the other hand, IT stocks were once again in focus with HCL Tech, TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Infosys all rising over 1 per cent each.
At 9:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 37860.34 up by 124.27 points or by 0.33 % and then NSE Nifty was at 11092.4 down by -9.75 points or by -0.09 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 37884.5 and intraday low of 37537.8 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 11141.15 and intraday low of 11049.2
