The domestic benchmark frontline indices are trading marginally lower weighed by shares of the private banks in the afternoon session. Asian shares began cautiously on Thursday, struggling to rise after a multi-day rally as markets await more news on US-China trade talks that have raised hopes of a deal to avert an all-out trade war. Among the sectoral indices, the Bank index was down 0.7 per cent weighed by IndusInd Bank, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank. Consumption and metal names are trading higher, while pain is visible among banks and pharmaceuticals, among others. Realty shares were trading with gains in the afternoon trading session on Thursday. The shares of Unitech (up 2.50 per cent), DLF (up 1.98 per cent), Sobha (up 1.38 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate (up 0.97 per cent) were trading in green.
At 12:12 hours, the BSE SENSEX was trading at 36103.77 down by -109.14 points or by -0.3 per cent and then NSE Nifty was at 10815 down by -40.15 points or by -0.37 per cent. The BSE Sensex touched intraday high of 36269.31 and intraday low of 36091.05 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 10859.35 and intraday low of 10813.
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex were NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 148.80,+1.81%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 185.70,+1.42%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 732.25,+0.85%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 97.70,+0.77%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (Rs. 2714.45,+0.70%), among others.
The top losers of the BSE Sensex were IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1567.00,-2.11%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 659.00,-1.65%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 376.50,-1.44%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 143.55,-1.37%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 442.35,-1.13%), among others.
Among sectors, BSE Auto index was trading high at 20156.63, up by 79.76 points or by 0.4%. Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 185.70,+1.42%), Ashok Leyland Ltd. (Rs. 95.55,+1.22%), Eicher Motors Ltd. On the flip side, BSE Oil&Gas index was trading low at 13128.99 down by -147.72 points or by -1.11%. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 232.35,-2.92%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.
