Indian benchmarks continued to extend losses during the late noon trading session tracking the weakness in the Asian markets. Selling was witnessed in Auto and IT stocks, Punjab National Bank and IDFC Bank lower by 1 per cent Whereas, Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) lower by 1.5 per cent.
Indian rupee has recovered from the day's low point. It is trading lower by 48 paise at 70.94 per dollar versus previous close 70.46. On the other side, European markets are trading with 1.5 percent cut.
International Brent crude oil futures were at $61.04 per barrel, down 52 cents, or 0.8 per cent from their last close. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were at $52.38 per barrel, down 51 cents, or 1 per cent.
At 14:22 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 35430.03 down by 454.38 points or by -1.27 per cent and then NSE Nifty was at 10574.5 down by -144.75 points or by -1.34 per cent. Sensex touched intraday high of 35707.23 and intraday low of 35417.25 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 10722.65 and intraday low of 10634.85.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 7254.45,-4.04%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 88.95,-3.84%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 163.60,-3.31%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 1288.95,-2.96%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 303.10,-2.95%), among others.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 2682 , shares advanced were 705 while 1813 shares declined and 164 were unchanged.
