Indian benchmarks remained choppy during the late morning deals on a negative note Friday following weak global cues after the US Federal Reserve left key interest rates on hold last night, but hinted a rate hike next month. According to provisional data available with the BSE, foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net of Rs 31 crore Wednesday, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net buyers too to the tune of Rs 27 crore.
At 11:35 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 35269.93 up by 32.25 points or by 0.09 % and then NSE Nifty was at 10603.65 up by 5.25 points or by 0.05 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 35284.45 and intraday low of 35011.23 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 10619.35 and intraday low of 10544.85
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 1301.20,+4.03%), YES Bank Ltd. (Rs. 223.85,+3.63%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 600.25,+3.06%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 333.65,+2.16%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 7286.00,+2.11%), among others.
The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 299.60,-2.08%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 662.95,-1.93%), Wipro Ltd. (Rs. 319.70,-1.75%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 573.55,-1.19%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 1921.65,-1.09%), among others.
