Indian benchmarks extended losses during the noon trading session with the Sensex falling over 100 points and Nifty below 10,600-mark. PSU banks are trading in the red, while IT and energy names are trading lower as well. Among gainers, automobile and pharmaceuticals top the charts. Midcap index sees a big surge as well, outperforming the benchmarks. The Nifty Midcap is up 1 percent.
At 13:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 35163 down by 74.68 points or by 0.21 per cent, while the NSE Nifty was at 10580.65 down by 17.75 points or by 0.17 per cent.
In the choppy trade so-far, Sensex touched intraday high of 35287.29 and intraday low of 35011.23 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 10619.55 and intraday low of 10544.85.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 659.30,-2.47%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 299.30,-2.17%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 570.70,-1.68%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 1913.75,-1.50%), Wipro Ltd. (Rs. 320.55,-1.49%), among others.
