YES Bank surges 6% as it hires Korn Ferry to assist CEO search panel

Shares of YES Bank rallied over 6 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the private sector lender said that it has hired US-based headhunter Korn Ferry to assist in searching for a successor to outgoing MD and CEO Rana Kapoor.

Boosted by the development, shares of the bank gained as much as 6.08 per cent and touched an intra-day high of Rs 254.60 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

In a similar trend, stocks of the lender were trading at Rs 250.50 apiece, up 4.29 per cent, on the National Stock Exchange.

Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 34,641.42, up 640.27 points, or 1.88 per cent, from the previous close on the BSE at 11:05 hours.
