Sun Pharma slips over 1% on drug recalling

Shares of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries fell over 1 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange after media report suggested that the drug maker’s US arm is recalling over 5.2 thousand units of testosterone cypionate injections from the American market.

Reacting to the news, stocks of the company declined as much as 1.15 per cent and touched an intra-day low of Rs 578.10 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

In a similar trend, shares of the firm were trading 1.05 per cent lower at Rs 579.70 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.

Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 37,697.25, up 141.09 points, or 0.38 per cent, from previous close on the BSE at 10:25 hours.
