TCS hits 52-week high on robust Q1

Shares of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) jumped nearly 4 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the IT bellwether reported a 23.46 per cent year-on-year (YoY) growth in consolidated net profit for June quarter at Rs 7,340 crore, helped by healthy digital business growth and a rebound in its BFSI business.

Driven by strong Q1, stocks of the company gained as much as 3.8 per cent and touched an intra-day high of Rs 1948.00 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

In a similar trend, shares of the firm were trading 3.90 per cent higher at Rs 1,948.15 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.

Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 36,262.20, up 22.58 points, or 0.06 per cent at 12:10 hours.
